this blog welcomes thoughtful discussion. to keep conversations productive, here’s what i expect from commenters.

be respectful

disagree with the post or with other commenters — that’s fine. but keep it civil. no personal attacks, name-calling, harassment, or discriminatory language. criticize ideas, not people.

stay on topic

comments should be relevant to the post. off-topic promotion, spam, or link-dropping will be removed.

no self-promotion or spam

comments that exist solely to promote a product, service, or unrelated link will be deleted. if your comment adds genuine value to the discussion and happens to include a relevant link, that’s okay.

no ai-generated comments

comments that are clearly copy-pasted from chatgpt or similar tools without any personal thought add nothing to the conversation. if you didn’t write it, don’t post it.

use a real identity

anonymous trolling helps nobody. you don’t need to use your legal name, but use a consistent identity and stand behind what you say.

i moderate at my discretion

this is my personal blog, not a public forum. i reserve the right to edit, hide, or delete any comment for any reason. repeated violations will result in a ban.

good faith applies both ways

if you engage in good faith, i’ll do the same. i’m happy to be corrected, challenged, or told i’m wrong — as long as it’s done respectfully.
